A Swiss enchants with the sounds of Vienna

Concert in the Grand Concert Hall of the Viennese Music Association
" ……under the leadership of the Swiss conductor, Andreas Spörri in the second concert of „Music of the Masters“ a most delightful evening began with Schubert’s wonderful 5th Symphony. With Haydn came – which is very important – humour in good proportion, and then with Schubert one moved easily into an old romantic atmosphere. This concert distinguished itself by beautiful sounds, perfect balance and natural rhythm, so that the music bloomed by itself because the orchestra and conductor just wanted to play music. Enthusiastic applause and standing ovations
" ……Cairo. – The audience at the Opera House in Cairo was enthusiastic with the Brahms Symphony ; the conductor Andreas Spörri had to take four encores. This rarely happens with symphony concerts on the Nile. From the outset the Swiss conductor’s debut was accompanied by enthusiastic applause and standing ovations. This was also for a piece by Schostakowitsch"
